It was a toss up what the next project would be but it came down to a dining table to replace our existing one.  It’s going to be roughly the same size – about 8 or 9 feet long to seat 8 comfortably.  The frame is going to be just steel, and the top is going to be just wood.  This project should be much faster and cheaper than the desk – going to work on simple for a little while.

The raw materials are in for the frame – 42 feet of 3″ square tubing, some 3/16″ thick (.188″) and some 14 gauge (.083″).  Not really much to see yet but wanted to get this up so all you readers know what’s coming next.  Vote in the poll to the right to let me know if you’d like to see designs up front or if you want to be surprised along the way.
